Day 1 – Welcome to the Wild

Maun → Moremi Game Reserve
Activities: Scenic Charter Flight | Afternoon Game Drive Upon arrival in Maun, a scenic charter flight carries you over the Okavango Delta’s mosaic of rivers, lagoons, and grasslands, landing at Xakanaxa or Khwai Airstrip. Your Delta EcoWild guide greets you with a warm welcome and whisks you into the wild.
Settle into your exclusive mobile tented camp nestled deep in Moremi. Enjoy your first game drive as golden light settles over elephant herds, buffalo, lechwe, and the call of hornbills overhead.

Day 2 – 3: Delta Heartland Safari

Activities: Daily Game Drives | Photography | Birdwatching Spend two full days exploring one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. From mopane woodlands to lush floodplains, this region is rich in diversity.
Wildlife Highlights: Lions trailing massive buffalo herds, elusive leopards, playful elephants, and maybe even African wild dogs.

Glide silently through Delta backwaters on a mokoro (dugout canoe) for an intimate water-level view of the Okavango. Stop at Dombo Pools to observe hippos and birds before arriving at your private riverside campsite in Mababe.

Day 5 – 6: Untamed Mababe

Activities: Game Drives | Night Drives | Walking Safari | Mokoro (seasonal) Mababe offers a more exclusive and untamed wilderness experience. Explore during the day and after dark with spotlights for a chance to spot nocturnal creatures like civets, servals, and porcupines.
Walking safaris (seasonal) allow a deeper connection with nature, tracking wildlife on foot and learning about medicinal plants and tracks.
Wildlife Highlights: Large elephant bulls, prides of lion, roan and sable antelope, wildcats, and the occasional wild dog or cheetah. Birding: Look out for the impressive Kori Bustard and the rare Rosy-throated Longclaw.

Day 7 – Farewell Safari

Mababe → Khwai Airstrip → Maun
Activity: Morning Game Drive | Charter Flight Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and a final game drive en route to the airstrip. Your charter flight takes you back to Maun or connects you to your next safari destination.
